Emerson’s New Valves: Precision and Efficiency Redefined

Introduction
Emerson has introduced a new series of AVENTICS high-precision pressure control valves designed to enhance the efficiency, flexibility, and accuracy of manufacturing systems that rely on pneumatic power.

Introducing the Series 625 Valves
In their latest addition to an already extensive portfolio, Emerson has launched the AVENTICS Series 625 Sentronic proportional pressure control valves. These valves set a new benchmark for precision and quality in pneumatic systems that require meticulous air supply management.

Key Features and Capabilities
The Series 625 valves are engineered for precision, with a control deviation of less than 0.5%. This makes them an ideal choice for applications where accuracy is paramount. The included DaS software allows for direct monitoring and control from a PC, streamlining operations and facilitating quick setup. These valves also support more complex control loops by integrating inputs from external sensors with the embedded cascade control function. The DaS software provides a comprehensive range of monitoring and diagnostics, allowing easy acquisition of data such as ethernet communications, input pressures, commanded pressures, and internal temperature.

Versatile and Robust
The Series 625 valves cater to a wide range of needs with four connector sizes, supporting flow rates from 55 to 5,600 liters per minute. They operate in a 3-way 3/2 valve configuration and can handle a broad pressure range, from vacuum up to 50 bar (725 psi), making them versatile for various pressure environments. Connector options include M12 8-pin, M16 7-pin, or M12 5-pin, ensuring easy and flexible wiring.Constructed with durable materials, these valves are available in housing options of aluminum, stainless steel, or brass, and offer sealing materials like fluoroelastomer (FKM) or nitrile (NBR). Compliance with CE, UKCA, and RoHS standards ensures that they meet stringent regulatory requirements, making them suitable for the European market.

Applications and Benefits
Nicolas Jacquet, Director of Product Management for Emerson’s discrete automation business, highlights that the Series 625 valves are designed for precise control of flow rate, pressure, power, distance, angular positions, and speed. This makes them particularly well-suited for high-precision equipment, such as laser eye surgery and flame cutting, where accuracy is critical.

As advancements in pressure control technology continue, engineers are increasingly seeking solutions that not only enhance precision but also reduce manufacturing complexity and development time. Emerson’s Series 625 Sentronic valves, with their reliability, accuracy, and efficiency, are poised to become a preferred choice for engineers working on electronic proportional pressure control applications.
